We are writing to let you know about a recently (2008) finished Fokker Dr1 from Ron Sands plans, in the UK. It has taken 4 years, 3500 hours.
The first test flight took place on April 26th (2008) at Sywell Aerodrome, Northants, UK. The test flight programme has been carried out by Matthew Boddington.
We have put up a website at www.jastabinksaviation.com and this website contains details of our Dr1 and also details of the range of services. Paul and his Company offers to other homebuilders and organisations; including wood and metal work, CAA approved welding, covering, painting, restorations, dummy engines, etc. The Dr1 appeared at a public display for the first time on August 24th (2008), at the Sywell Show. Took 3,1/2 years to build. Great set of drawings your Dad produced. They were the best set of drawings I have worked
from and I have worked with a few!
First flight was on 23rd June 2006. Photo taken at Sywell Air Show 24th Sep 2006, my first air show with aircraft."

ROSS WALTON'S Fokker Dr.1 at the Dayton, OH Air Show in 1998:
Currently powered by a LYCOMING 0-320 4 cylinder engine, but is being changed over to an original rotary LeRhone engine.
ROSS also has Lozenge fabric, Grade A Cotton, Aircraft linen, fabric tapes and other goods for sale.
